	Weddings at the Good Samaritan UMC
	Thank you for considering having your wedding ceremony at The Good Samaritan United Methodist Church. Marriage is one of the most important events of your life. We would like to help make this special time as joyful as possible. Our sanctuary offers the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. It seats 350 people and access to state-of-the-art audio visuals to perfectly customize your wedding ceremony. Guest clergy are permitted to perform the wedding with the permission of our Senior Pastor. Our pastors are also available to perform the wedding service. All couples to be married by our pastors must meet with the officiating pastor for premarital conversations and wedding planning. Good Samaritan provides a wedding coordinator as a liaison between wedding party and the Church. The wedding coordinator will be available for consultation and general instruction no less than 6 weeks prior to the actual service date. You may arrange for your own accompanist/musicians or the church can recommend one for you.
A word from our wedding coordinator… Should you choose to be married at Good Samaritan, my role as wedding coordinator is to work with you to ensure that your wedding ceremony flows smoothly. I will work with you on plans for your ceremony, making sure that your desires and the church's amenities are coordinated, and that your sound and lighting needs are met. I assist with the rehearsal, and am there to assist on the wedding day itself, which includes preparing the church for the early arrival of the florist and photographer. Couples should note that my role is not the same as a wedding planner. Some couples choose to additionally hire a wedding planner to co-ordinate the whole of their wedding (flowers, reception, scheduling of the day etc.). Approximate Costs
$150	Deposit to reserve the wedding date (Deposit goes towards total charge and is fully refundable up to 2 months prior to the wedding day. Within 2 months of the date, only $50 will be refunded if the booking is cancelled for any reason.)
$325	Basic fee for non-members
$300	Use of Sanctuary and grounds (first 3 hrs. minimum)
$200	Minister
$100	Fellowship Hall (first 3 hrs. minimum, $13.00/hr thereafter) (Fellowship Hall is available for use during evenings and Saturdays. Capacity: 230.)
Total balance is due two weeks prior to the day before the wedding.
$325	The Total Fee for a church member instead of the prices above.
