Details about program - registration and scholarships - featured in the talent show will be your very own Good Sam Belly Dancers!
  • Project Panda Is Underway -  “The key to connecting with our community, our neighborhood is Stocklmeir School,” according to Mark Teagle, Good Sam’s Director of Engagement. That school, next to Ortega Park in Sunnyvale, is our neighborhood elementary school, the common thread that unites us all regardless of faith, ethnicity, or social status. “And serving together with that school community can help us forge bonds with the families all around Good Sam.”
  • English teacher substitutes needed - Ministry Opportunity! - If you speak English well and are available during weekday afternoons, you are perfectly suited to help in a fantastic ministry working with great students. Fred Kurtz, Vi Kakaio, Mary Chapman and Florence Bergman have been regular conversation teachers on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, but need substitutes or co-teachers to fill in. If you can come a few times as a substitute teacher, or take the class for 4 weeks so teachers can take vacation time, please contact Helen Kung
  • Food barrels for 2nd Harvest - We doubled the number we used to have because 2nd Harvest has witnessed a 50% increase in the number of people requesting food. The economy has forced people who never thought they would need assistance to ask for help. As we head into the holidays many shelters and pantries are looking to us to stock their shelves. 2nd Harvest is feeding 1 of every 10 people in Santa Clara County; that's a staggering number. A little over 2 years ago, my small group suggested we each bring one can a week to help fill the barrels. Let’s see how quickly we can help.
  • Christmas Sing-Along music! Listen to the songs from our Dec 3 & 4 annual tradition. Thanks to Joe Austin and friend!

Click here to see the motion. Here is our church statement: The Good Samaritan United Methodist Church believes all persons are created in God's image and are of sacred worth. We seek to include all God's children in God’s church and vow to respect and intentionally embrace our common belief in the Word and Light embodied by Christ Jesus. We celebrate our diversity and welcome all into the full life of the church regardless of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental capacity, education, religious background, family configuration, and marital or economic status.

You Director Update - Good Sam’s new Youth Director is Bill Wagner. "I am truly blessed, humbled and excited about having the opportunity of being your Youth Director at Good Sam! As many of you already know, I am the proud father of two beautiful boys, which some of you may have already met, Samuel (5 years old) and Graeson (3 years old). When I am not being chased by or chasing my boys, you could best define me as an avid fan of the Red Sox, the Tar Heels, and the Lord our Father." More Info...
